about...
our studio is completely white, except for the light grey carpet. in the winter we take our boots off at the door and walk around in our stocking soles, as our studio has underfloor heating. in the summer months we open the windows, and let the fresh breeze blow in from the ocean.
when people come to see us we make them a nice fresh pot of coffee and sit them down on our sofa. then they tell us what they would like, and why they would like it that way. we sit and listen to what they are saying. when they are finished talking, we start to think. sometimes we think for days, sometimes we go out and think, as it can help us to see our task in a different light. one day magnus was thinking so hard he walked all the way out of the city, and had to get a bus back.
when we can think no more we start to work.

skorri [ design ]
likes to spend the winter months working on portraits of his friends. he only paints in shades of white in order to maximise the minimalism of his work. he hopes eventually, one day, to paint entirely with white.
magnus [ design ]
is happiest when recording the conversations of people around our city. he likes to listen to the sound the traffic makes at different times of the year, and the rain when it batters off our corrugated roof. when he is happy with his recordings he mixes them all up together and adds some nice beats.
páll [ develop ]
codes best when exposed to loud music in the dark. at weekends he loves nothing more than to head for the glaciers for some off-road driving in his four-by-four. he finds that the white of the ice balances his week after sitting in the dark for long periods.
ragnheidur [ talk ]
thinks it is a healthier environment if we share our space with some plantlife, and spends many a summer evening on our studio roof terrace with a trowel getting her hands dirty. she is well-known in these parts, for her special bonsai corn which is the most northerly grown corn in the world.
